From a Youtube trend to a pop idol, 18-year-old Canadian Justin Bieber has outdone himself and surfaced as one of the brightest and youngest talents in the world of pop music across the globe!
Here are 5 things you may still not know about him!
1. Bieber grew up in a low income house.
Born on March 1, 1994, in Ontario, Canada, Bieber's mom, Patricia Lynn Mallette, was only 18 when she had him, and raised him as a single mother. Justin has maintained contact with his father, Jeremy Jack Bieber, who married another woman and had two children with her.
2. Justin Bieber boarded an airplane for the first time on the way to meet the man who would become his manager.
While searching for videos by a different singer, Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of record label So So Def, clicked on one of Bieber's 2007 videos by accident. Impressed by Bieber’s talent, he immediately flew the teen to Atlanta from Ontario, Canada.
3. Bieber's rise to the top.
Bieber's debut single, ‘One Time,’ was released in 2009 and featured in the Canadian Top 10 charts and in the Top 30 in several international markets. His debut album, the seven-track EP ‘My World,’ followed in November 2009, and was soon certified platinum in the United States.
4. Bieber’s fave five
Bieber’s five favourite artists include Michael Jackson, Boys II men, the Beatles, Tracy Chapman and Stevie Wonder. His favourite movies are Rocky, The Guardian, Braveheart, I Spy and Mr Deeds.
5. Teen talent
During his childhood, Bieber was interested in hockey, soccer and chess; he often kept his musical aspirations to himself. As he grew up, Bieber taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet.
